The defending champions, Wales, will play against Ireland in the 4th round of the 2026 Six Nations Championship on Friday, 6 March 2026, at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
During the 2021 Championship, Wales defeated 14-man Ireland by a score of 21-16. In the 2022 Championship, Ireland defeated Wales by a score of 29-7.
During the 2023 Six Nations, Ireland received a bonus point after a win over Wales by a score of 34-10. In the 2024 championship, Ireland won over Wales in Dublin, scoring 31-7 bonus points. In the 2025 Championship, Ireland triumphed over Wales with a score of 27-18, claiming the prestigious Triple Crown.
Since 1882, Ireland and Wales have participated in 135 rugby test matches. Wales won 70 of them, while Ireland won 58. There were also seven draws between the two countries.
