2022 Super Rugby Pacific Opening Match Postponed - Moana VS Blues

Moana Pasifika VS Blues Super Rugby Pacific 2022 Postponed

 

The Super Rugby Pacific season 2022 opening match has been postponed after various Moana Pasifika players tested positive for Covid-19. The match will mark the debut of Moana Pasifika's new squad, who will join Fijian Drua in this year's competition.


Moana Pasifika starts their first match campaign with the Auckland Blues on Friday in Dunedin. But due to many players tested positive for Covid-19 the match is postpones and the team is is now in quarantine in Queenstown.


The pandemic has forced changes to New Zealand's final pre-season friendly this weekend. Super rugby organizer said in the Statement, they will consider the option of rescheduling the game. Other games in the first round next week will not be affected.


The other five New Zealand Super Rugby Pacific teams all members have tested negative for COVID-19 and will continue preparations for the start of the season, also including a pre-season game in Queenstown.
