The season opening match will begin on August 9, 2024, between Taranaki and Counties Manukau. The final of the season is set to happen on October 26, 2024.

These 14 teams will play 10 regular-season games, which include five home and five away matches. Teams that placed 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, and 13th in the previous season will compete against each other as well as play four cross-over matches against teams that finished 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, and 14th. The season will span nine weeks, with a total of ten round-robin games scheduled. A midweek match is scheduled for Wednesday night as well.

The top eight teams in the regular season will play in the quarterfinals to secure a place in the semifinals. The event grand final will be played on October 26, 2024, which will decide the champion of the event.
