2022 season All Blacks and Black Ferns home Test schedule

The 2022 season All Blacks and Black Ferns home Test schedule was confirmed by the New Zealand Rugby.

The All Blacks (New Zealand) will start their 2022 Test campaign in July with a series of three Tests against Ireland. On Tuesday New Zealand Rugby (NZR) announced that the tour will start on 2nd July at Eden Park in Auckland.

The two sides will meet on July 9 at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, before closing the series at Sky Stadium in Wellington on July 16.

After traveling to South Africa to play two Rugby Championship Tests with the Springboks, the All Blacks will return to New Zealand next month to play with Los Pumas in two Test matches in Hamilton and Christchurch.

The first Tests will take place on 27 August at Orangetheory Stadium, followed by a second consecutive encounter on 3rd September at FMG Stadium Waikato.

Both games will play as rugby championship games, with the test at Orangetheory Stadium, All Blacks have played in Christchurch since their 41-13 win over the Springboks in 2016.

The All Blacks' sixth and final Test in New Zealand this year will happen against the Wallabies at Eden Park on 24 September, in a match that doubles as a Rugby Championship and Bledisloe Cup.

The confirmation of these six games means that addional half of the Tests that the All Blacks will run this year have been merged.
This season All Blacks' other games are also officially confirmed, such as two Tests against the Springboks on August 6 at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit and on August 13 at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.

A year-end test against England will take place on November 19 at Twickenham in London was also locked by the Rugby Football Union.

No confirmation has been made yet that the first of the two Bledisloe Cup games against the Wallabies in Australia will take place, and there has been no official announcement on the remaining tests in New Zealand at the end of the year.

However, Mark Robinson New Zealand Rugby chief executive announced earlier this year that Scotland and Wales will play those two test matches in November, whereas another test match against Japan, will be held at later date.

On Tuesday, Robinson said in a statement, that the All Blacks have an important season ahead of the Irish Steinlager Series and a tough rugby championship schedule.

Since 2012, we haven't hosted Ireland, and Argentina haven't played here since 2018, so we can't wait to greet two big rugby competitors and their fans to our country."

At the same time, NZR also declared the Black Ferns' four home games ahead of the World Cup in New Zealand later this year.
