2022  Super Rugby Pacific Melbourne Super Round Postponed

The 2022 Western Force VS Moana Pasifika Super Rugby Pacific Round 10 has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in Perth.

The postponement means that all the Super Rugby Pacific teams will not participate in the Super Round, which was scheduled to be held at Melbourne's AAMI Park this weekend.

Though, Force CEO Tony Lewis believes that prioritizing the health of players and the integrity of the game is vital.

Western Force has medically reported a high number of COVID-19 cases within the team, which according to Rugby Australia protocols meant they had no choice," Lewis said. "We worked closely with Rugby Australia High Performance to initially protect the integrity of the Western Force Club and Super Rugby Pacific," Lewis said on Western Force's official website.

It was the 4th postponement of the season for the newcomer Mona Pasifika.

Lewis said, "We've done everything to help this game move forward, while multiple player replacement options were considered, as affected players ratio is high.

"We would like to thank Moana Pasifika for their understanding and look forward to seeing them in the future."
