Mitre 10 Cup 2022 TV Broadcast Schedule
The new format for the Bunnings Warehouse NPC 2022 (Mitre 10 Cup) schedule has been announced by NZR. In the competition, 14 Provincial Unions teams will take part to play for one National Provincial Championship title.
The 14 Provincial Unions teams of Bunnings NPC will split into two conferences (Odds and Evens), which are based on the last season round robin and quarterfinal standings. The odds conference teams ranked 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and Evens conference teams placed 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 in season 2022. Both conference teams compete with each other in four crossover matches.
Each conference's top four teams will play in the Mitre 10 Cup Quarterfinals 2022 for getting the chance to play in Semifinals. The top two quarterfinals winning teams of both conferences will face off in the Semifinals and semifinalists of each conference will compete in the Mitre 10 Cup Final 2022. NZR Community Rugby Director Steve Lancaster said: “In discussion with provincial unions New Zealand Rugby has made the decision to appraisal the Bunnings NPC Premier League and Championship format after last season. The discussion process was thorough, with many options considered and including all key stakeholders.
The Bunnings Warehouse NPC 2022 will run for 12 weeks starting on 5th August 2022, including midweek games for all teams. All tournament games will get the full points in competition and full draw results will be given on time.
